Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre (VECC) is a premier R & D unit of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and one of the constituent institutions of Homi Bhabha National Institute. This Centre is dedicated to carry out frontier research and development in the fields of Accelerator Science & Technology, Nuclear Science (Theoretical and Experimental), Material Science, Computer Science & Technology and in other relevant areas Applications are invited to the following posts: SCIENTIFIC OFFICER/C (MEDICAL) Number of vacancies : 01 Post Pay Scale : Rs 15600 – 39100/- & Grade Pay – Rs 5400/- (PB-3) Qualifications : M.B.B.S. degree from a recognized University with at least 1(one) year institutional experience in the relevant field after obtaining the degree. Degree should be recognized by the Medical Council of India. Mandatory internship shall not be counted as experience. Age limit : Not more than 35 years as on 17.02.2012 SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT/C (Gamma Camera Operator) Number of vacancies : 01 Post (OBC) Pay Scale : Rs 9300-34800/- & Grade Pay: Rs 4600/- (PB-2) Qualifications : Minimum 50% marks in B.Sc. and Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Medical Radio-Isotope Techniques (DMRIT) Age limit : Not more than 37 years as on 17.02.2012 SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT/B (Gamma Camera Operator) Number of vacancies : 01 Post (OBC) Pay Scale : Rs 9300-34800/- & Grade Pay: Rs 4200/- (PB-2) Qualifications : Minimum 50% marks in B.Sc. and Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Medical Radio-Isotope Techniques (DMRIT) Age limit : Not more than 33 years as on 17.02.2012 TECHNICIAN/B – (Plumbing) Number of vacancies : 02 Post (OBC) Pay Scale : Rs 5200-20200/- & Grade Pay : Rs. 2000/- (PB-1) Qualifications : HSC or SSC pass both with Science and Mathematics with minimum 60% marks in aggregate either in SSC or HSC. One year Trade certificate of Plumbing Trade from a recognized institution/NCVT is mandatory in the case of candidates with SSC qualification only. Age limit : Between 18 years and 30 years as on 17.02.2012.
